Drs. Jacqueline Boisvert and Christian Humulock have served South County families for over a decade — combining the medical depth of a full-scope optometry practice with the curated optical experience of a boutique eyewear shop. Whatever you need, you'll find it here, in the Stop & Shop Plaza on Frenchtown Road.

A full hour with your optometrist — not a 15-minute prescription update. We screen for glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration alongside your refraction, and we look for systemic conditions like diabetes and hypertension that often show up in the eyes first. Two licensed doctors (Drs. Boisvert and Humulock, both NECO-trained; Dr. Boisvert is a diplomate of the American Board of Optometry), and a same-practice optical so updating glasses or contacts is seamless.

  • Refraction, slit lamp, IOP check, and retinal evaluation

  • AOA recommends an exam every 2 years for low-risk adults under 65, annually for adults 65+ or those at higher risk

  • Pediatric exams welcomed (children as young as a few years old)

  • Medical insurance accepted for exams; vision benefits handled via out-of-network reimbursement

Sudden vision loss, eye pain, an injury, or a flood of new floaters? For sight-threatening emergencies, dial 911 or head to the nearest ER. For office-appropriate urgent concerns, call us — we triage same-day with the slit lamp, ophthalmic imaging, and disease-specific expertise an emergency room rarely has, and you’ll typically be seen faster by someone trained specifically in eye disease. (For chemical splashes, irrigate with water for at least 15 minutes first, then call.)

  • Same-day urgent appointments prioritized

  • Existing patient or new — call us either way

  • Direct referral to ophthalmology if surgical care is needed

Emergency Eye Care

Dry Eye Treatment

Watery, gritty, burning, screen-fatigued eyes are not something to live with. We diagnose what is actually causing your dry eye — tear production, lid disease, medications, autoimmune contributors — and build a treatment plan that addresses the cause, not just the symptoms.

  • Comprehensive dry eye evaluation including tear film and lid assessment

  • Personalized plans combining artificial tears, lid hygiene, prescription anti-inflammatory drops, omega-3s, punctal occlusion, and amniotic membranes when indicated

  • Coordination with primary care for systemic causes when appropriate

Slowing childhood nearsightedness today means lower lifetime risk of retinal disease tomorrow. We discuss specialty soft contact lenses, low-dose atropine drops and lifestyle habits that protect your child’s long-term vision — and we partner with families to make the right plan stick.

  • FDA-approved MiSight contact lenses (indicated for ages 8–12 at start of treatment) and low-dose atropine drops

  • Progression tracking, with axial-length biometry where available

  • Most effective when started early — typically before age 12

Myopia Management for Children

Diabetic retinopathy can develop without symptoms. An annual dilated eye exam catches the changes early and connects your eye care directly to your endocrinologist or PCP, so your full medical team stays in the loop. Most plans cover diabetic eye exams as a medical benefit.

  • Comprehensive dilated retinal evaluation

  • Retinal imaging (photography or OCT) when indicated

  • Direct reporting to your primary care or endocrinology team
