Specialty: Nuance Audio hearing glasses
Rhode Eyeland is proud to carry Nuance Audio, the first eyewear product to combine prescription lenses with built-in, open-ear hearing technology.
Developed by EssilorLuxottica and FDA-registered as an over-the-counter hearing aid, Nuance Audio is designed for adults with perceived mild-to-moderate hearing loss who do not want to wear traditional behind-the-ear or in-ear hearing aids.
Directional microphones and open-ear speakers are discreetly integrated into the temples and front of the frame, with a companion app for personalization. Ask us if Nuance Audio might be a good fit — we are happy to demonstrate how it works.
Why shop at your eye doctor’s office?
When your prescription, lens choices, and frame fit all happen in one place, the result is sharper vision and better-looking eyewear. Our doctors and opticians work together to make sure your prescription interacts with each frame and lens design — something a stand-alone retailer cannot always match.
High-index lenses for stronger and heavy prescriptions — thinner and lighter
Progressive (no-line) bifocals
Anti-reflective and blue-light-filtering coatings
Photochromic (Transitions) lenses that adapt to changing light
Polarized sunglass lenses, (prescription sunglasses)
Computer — specific occupational lenses for screen-heavy work
Bi-focal — two prescriptions in one
Stellest® — slows down the progression of myopia in children
Lens options
Frame choice is part style, part anatomy — bridge fit, temple length, lens height, pantoscopic tilt. Our opticians measure carefully so your glasses sit comfortably and correct your vision precisely. Adjustments and fine-tuning are always free for our patients.
